PVE remove storage - no unmount

Just realized that if I remove a storage configuration ( in this case it was an NFS Mount) it doesn't remove the mountpoint.
This escalated for us into a failure in to the proxmox backup client and strange behaviour in the monitoring. Which should not be the discussion here, but this leads us to the problem.

So I personally would assume if I remove the "Storage" and it disappear from the View it would also be removed & unmounted. And yes it is stated somehow under: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-pvesm.html that this isn't the case.

Code:
Remove storage pools.
This does not delete any data, and does notdisconnect or unmount anything. It just removes the storageconfiguration.

I'm not sure if that's clear for other, or how it's assumed to be. I'd really like to open a discussion here.

I'd propose that this should be cleared up or it should be extended in funktionality:

Either get a checkmark to also do an unmount of it if you wish. Or place a hint, that the mountpoint stays. I think: until a reboot of the pve.
