[SOLVED] PVE Guest Agent: open-vm-tools or qemu-guest-agent for CentOS Guest?

Will the open-vm-tools package support guest agent features/functionality in a CentOS guest? Or should I instead use the qemu-guest-agent package for CentOS?

Hi Eric,
The open-vm-tools is ESXi API specific, it is not meant nor is it compatible in any way with PVE underlying hypervisor KVM/QEMU.
You should use qemu-guest-agent.
