PVE 9.x cannot be installed from .iso image file

Dear Proxmox Team,
I just tried to install a phresh PVE host from the 9.1-1.iso downloaded from here and stored on a ventoy stick (E2B or similar) on which I keep all my OS images.
That didn't work out...
I remember the day when it wasn't possible to install PVE from a USB Stick (which now fortunately works - just did it w. PVE 9.1-1 :°) and would like to propose for future versions, to make it possible to be installed it from the image file.
If it already IS possible and i missed something, pls. reply, thanks.

As I wrote, that is exactly what I did (and do since years w. proxmox): simply "burn" the .iso to a USB stick
But it would be a nice feature to be able to boot the proxmox installer from the file, just like it works w. all other distros I tried, like Debian, Ubuntu, fedora, manjaro, mint, you name it.
Just not to need a separate stick for each and every distro, but just ONE stick or ext. HD w. e.g. ventoy or E2B that contains ALL the .iso one collects over time

Why not just using hardware that provides this kind of option ?

Like IODD ST400 for example ?

Is the Ventoy installation on the USB stick up-to-date?
If yes, maybe open a ticket/issue on the Ventoy support channels.
At least the PVE 9.0-1 ISO is/was successfully tested...:
