PVE 9.2 - Where am I supposed to see a defective HDD in GUI?

I know that a drive in one of my zpools failed. When logging into PVE, there is no messgae, no notification, no visible log entry....

....to inform the admin about a potential issue!

Well yes, if I go to the node, ZFS I can see at the end of the row "DEGRA":



This is fine and probably I need to tune my monitoring to let me know about that issue BUT

PVE should make more noise about that issue IMHO

If you have correctly configured your notifications, check zed config and smartmontools config. You can receive an email.

You're not the first with this. There is already https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7651 for PDM and I think there is another open bug for PVE, but unfortunately I can't find it.

To have PVE "make more noise about that issue" you may search bugzilla and open another feature request if there is none yet.
