PvE 8->9: 16x memory needed

Hi,

I updated from Version 8 to 9 today.
My Homeassistant VM just used ~30% of 1GB Memory (left side of below screenshot).
After the update 1 GB was used 100%. I changed resources to 2GB and 4 GB and after changing to 4 GB it stays below 100%.
My impression is that something's wrong here.


Same with two W-Machines (shame on me, I know). I updated the QEMU agent, but it always shows 100% memory usage even if the guest itself reports only ~50%.

Is something wrong with my configuration or is it a known "bug"?

 

[Impact]

There's some variables to this (Guest OS, Ballooning, Passthrough, etc) but for linux guests PVE shows the memory cached by the VM too. This is discussed a lot. Also see here.
