Really want to go with Proxmox, but very worried I'll never figure out this BSOD from a Huge VMWare Fusion OVF export of Windows 10 VM. Only thing critical to my work as I have to support old Windows applications :-(
  • ovftool worked fine
  • import appeared to work fine
  • changed disk type to sata as instructed (doesn't seem to matter)
  • changed bios to uefi and it boots into the uefi manager
  • changed it back to seabios and windows starts to boot
Fails with BSOD "Your device ran into a problem..." "SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED" "prl pv64.sys"

Any ideas? Fresh install for Windows 10 from USB seems to work, but it's critical I get the OVF working, I've got piles of out-dated .Net C# libraries I can never recreate from vendors that have ceased to exist. No idea how to boot safe mode as F8 doesn't work either.

I've tried everything. Without safe mode I can't prove its a driver issue or debug this further. So utterly sad I have to move on to ESXI to get this stupid VM to boot.
