Hi,

Looking at adding some 10GB capability my ProxMox home lab.
Running PVE 4.2 (with latest updates) and local storage only.
As I have a switch with 10GB SFP ports I am looking at buying some 10GB NICs (cheap as this is a home lab after all) and create a 10GB bridge for my guests.
I have been reading the forums but I could not find clear information on:

- can 10GB cards be used to create bridge for guests?
- what cards are compatible with ProxMox (preferably out of the box)? Looking at Chelsio cards or Mellanox ConnectX-2 as they seem to be priced just right)

Cheers

yes,

I guess most of them will work with Linux especially PVE 4.2 have a very recent kernel, Ask your vendor if the driver is the main kernel tree.
