Hi, I install PVE 4 on Dell PE2850 with a PERC 5/E adaptor witout any problem or warning at installation. On boot, just after Loading Linux 4.2.2-1-pve... Loading initial ramdisk ..., I have a Kernel Panic - not syncing: Fatal execption in interupt. The system halt.

I remove the PERC 5/E adaptor and the PVE4 boot correctly. Put adaptor back, same error...

I install Proxmox on Debian Jessie following instruction on wiki and reboot before installing Proxmox. No problem.

I install Proxmox VE packages and after reboot.... Kernel Panic...

With Proxmox 3.4 everything work perfectly.

It is possible 4.2.2-1-pve kernel have a driver problem with PERC 5/E or not support again?

Thanks, have a nice day

Eric.

Most likely the issue is from 4.2.2.

After you install proxmox over debian Jesse, try to do "apt-get install pve-kernel-4.1.3-1-pve", make sure that update-grub picks it up before 4.2.2 (or remove 4.2.2) and reboot.

Publishing the whole stacktrace of the error may also help.

Thanks, I confirm that work with kernel 4.1.3-1-pve. So the problem came from 4.2.2. Now I try to get the complete stacktrace to help.

I can't get the full trace because the panic alt the system before the memory allocation for the dump... This is a picture of what I have on screen.

Thanks for help.

Considering there may be a bad driver in 4.2.2 for PERC I don't think anybody here will be able to help. Either you try to install stock 4.2.3 (search for a debian jessie binary) or keep 4.1.x.
Another option would be mail the kernel devs.
