Help, essentially bricked PVE

I was planning on testing the practicality of using an external nvme as a boot drive vs every on one hdd. I shutdown my pc with my current pve node, installed proxmox on the nvme, and booted from the nvme. when the nvme booted, it altered the lvm, root, and data paths of the hdd. I have no idea how that happened since i installed proxmox as ext4 on the nvme. there's no raid configs and the hdd is xfs.

I dont know what to do. I can provide anything necessary.

Edit: PVE boot failure/inaccessible when HDD booted with no other storage connected.

pve on the nvme boots, but is a clean pve install. lsblk shows the hdd and its trees, but isnt mounted (nothing mounted as in nothing in /mnt/). but in the gui i can add them as local lvms but cant be added as a directory.
