Historically PBS only supported pull syncs, push was introduced in the current version.
Personally I prefer pull sync Jobs, since they allow to put the remote PBS behind a Firewall, so in case a hacker or ransomware attack on my local Infrastructure the offender can't do anything on my offsite backups. For the same reasons I setup the permissions that the remote backups can pull from my local PBS but not edit or remive anything local and vice versa like recommended in the manuals chapter on ransomware protection:
A remote refers to a separate Proxmox Backup Server installation and a user on that installation, from which you can sync datastores to a local datastore with a Sync Job. You can configure remotes in the web interface
None at all, because pull or push sync is for / regards, as was already explained, synchronizing multiple PBSs. But you have only one PBS (with multiple PVEs).
