Hello, I am looking to buy an Nvidia graphics card (NVIDIA GRID K80 24GB) to virtualize graphics systems and OLLAMA.
My question is if this video feature would be compatible with Proxmox and if it is worth it.
Kepler was introduced in 2012. neither nvidia nor any other entity can/will/has committed to support it forever. Even if you got it for free, you'd be funding your local utility provider by just turning it on.
figure out the ACTUAL APPLICATIONS and check their compatibility matrixes. Many application require specific nvidia driver versions, which in turn would be dependent on specific kernel version ranges. That will determine whether you can/want to run the driver on the host kernel (proxmox) or in guest which you can pick based on kernel version necessity.
