First of all if you think i am new to this you are right, i get blocked by java and dont really know what to do. It gives me some strange error Even if i trust the webpage can some1 help me?
I had the same, too on Fedora 20 with the actual Java Plugin x.xx.51. You have to disable the security checks in Java Control Panel. It is getting worse with every Java release
I suggest you give IcedTea Java a try. It is open source implementation of Java. Works great for Proxmox console. Lot of Original Java issues disappeared after i started using IcedTea Java. http://icedtea.classpath.org/wiki/Main_Page
Yes, but there was a nasty bug in icedtea that frooze the vnc window and the browser, so a versino >= 1.4.3 is needed.
Have a look at: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Java_Console_(Ubuntu)
(search for "icedtea" in the page to find all the occurrence)
Every release since Oracle took over has been a new adventure in stupidity. Why on earth they bundle malware with security updates, I don't know.
I spent nearly an hour yesterday trying to get a console open on a remote server. Never got it to work (the exceptions list wouldn't show up in Java control panel). It's like Oracle's actually trying to make people not want to use Java at all.
Is this an issue with the hosts HTTPS certificate, or the Java applet's certificate? I've not been able to work that out from the seemingly conflicting warnings and vague "it's for your own good" messages it throws up (I'm not a Java person if that's not obvious )
