Hello ,
I am kinda new to proxmox , so i installed it on a virtualbox vm and when creating vms , i get this error everytime : TASK ERROR: KVM virtualisation configured, but not available. Either disable in VM configuration or enable in BIOS. whenever i want to launch the virtual machine.
meanwhile i enabled on the vm configuration the VT-X/AMD-V ( so normally in Virtualbox this is the way to enable virtualisation )
Thanks for readng and help,
Regards

I am no where near the level of some of the people here..but
AFAIK.. proxmox is a baremetal server that can do virtualization & containers
It sounds like you trying to run a virtualization solution, within a virtualization solution, in hopes of virtualizing yet another solution.

What Processors, Type are you using in the VM (Proxmox VMs). (IDK if its going to make a difference).

But your main focus should be on changes you need to make on the VirtualBox VM side of things - since the system recognized by Proxmox is showing that virtualization is not supported.

Prerequisites

For Proxmox VE inside VirtualBox to work well, it's strongly recommended that your VirtualBox host (e.g., your laptop) meets the minimum hardware requirements and software configuration. Otherwise, Proxmox VE may still work but it can be extremely slow.

  • VirtualBox should support hardware virtualization acceleration. This means the feature is activated in EFI/BIOS. If you don't see this option in your EFI/BIOS screens, you should double-check to see if your CPU supports it.
  • Further, if you plan to host any guests within Proxmox and are running VirtualBox 6.1 or later, you should enable nested hardware virtualization acceleration in the VirtualBox settings for the Proxmox VE virtual machine itself. The setting is in the VirtualBox Machine Processor Tab (System → Processor → Enable Nested VT-x/AMD-V).
  • When creating the VirtualBox VM to host Proxmox VE, you should set its OS type to be run as Linux: Debian (64-bit) guest.
Following the Prerequisites its all fine.
All i want is , to run some vms ( no need to KVM on on them) by using proxmox as an hypervisor , so the main Virtualbox VM containing proxmox on virtual box should have Nested virtualisation enabled as i read in Prerequisites which is already enabled on mine as i told you , here is a capture for the the Virtualbox VM configuration .
So , the error that i get inside proxmox GUI while trying to lauch a simple ubuntu vm for example

P.S : the only thing that i miss that am using Oracle Linux 64 not Linux : Debian , but i dont really thing thats my issue here

Are you sure your BIOS/CPU support it?

Hello again ,
Sorry for making some missmatch !
My issue was kind of simple as u can see in the image below , i missed one of the windows features related to virtualisation enabled which should be both disabled , so by disabling it , it will be all good !
