Hi,
I am using OVH server and they got a template for me to easy create PVE 8.x server, but it use Soft RAID 1 and must have a partition mount on /var/lib/vz, pls check my screenshot.
I want to use LVM thin for /var/lib/vz 300GB, and the rest of space for VM storage.

How can I do that ?

Regards,

James

Yes, I did that a few hours ago, I unmount and destroy the original LVM, then create 1 lvm thin pool called datapool, under datapool, created 1 lvm called varlibvz, then mount and modify /etc/fstab, and also goto the web console to set the datapool for the VM to use.
Everything seems OK, but after reboot, I can't connect to my server anymore, OVH ipmi seems got problem, I can't check why I can't ssh and see the web console.

Right after I wrote previous post, I found the cause and fix the problem, finally! I made a stupid mistake........ Now everything is cool. TKS for your accompany !
