Currently we are running VMware on Synergy Blades with shared block-storage (IBM FS9000 and HPE Primera). We have shared VMFS-datastores (=FC LUNs), meaning that multiple VMs from multiple customers run on those datastores.
We want to implement Proxmox VE using the same compute-hardware and the same storage and a similar use of the FC LUNs. We also need to be able to create VM snapshots. Snapshot of individual VMs, not a snapshot of the entire array.
Proxmox offers 13 different storage types. With the above in mind, what is the recommended storage type to pick?
Additional question: is snapshot-as-volume-chain still in technology preview? In the documentation it's not (see https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage), but on the environment itself it states it is.
