I have been searching around for answers and could not find a working solution. I am running Proxmox on a physical server, connected to the ISP router (192.168.1.X). Inside Proxmox, I am running a pfSense firewall and router (10.0.0.X).
The server has two NICs:
- 1 x 4 port (enp1s0f0, enp1s0f1, enp1s0f2, enp1s0f3)
- 1 x 2 port (eno1, eno2)
Network setup:
- enp1s0f0 (vmbr1, pfSense WAN, cable directly from ISP router to server)
- enp1s0f1 (vmbr2, pfSense LAN, cable from server to switch)
- eno2 (vmbr4, cable from switch to server [to access Proxmox on the 10.0.0.X network])
Explained:
- Server gets the IP 192.168.1.X
- pfSense gets the IP 192.168.1.X
- Switch gets IP 10.0.0.X
- Everything connected to the switch gets IP 10.0.0.X
Now, the problems:
- The server cannot ping external nor internal IP addresses
- The server has no internet access
Any suggestions on how to fix this one? Thank you very much guys
