Hi everyone. I'm trying to install Proxmox VE 8.3, and this is my first time with Proxmox.

Hardware I'm using:
Intel Core i5-6400 CPU
MSI H110M Gaming Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws 16GB DDR4 Memory
MSI Nvidia Geforce 1060 Ti Video card

I read all the threads I could find related to the Nvidia driver issue. I tried booting with Terminal and Debug and inserted "nomodeset" in the kernel parameters and I'm still hanging up just after loading drivers. The last line says "Driver nvidiafb not loading because of nomodeset parameter". I'm not sure if there is another driver in the list that is causing the install boot to hang up?

Marking it as solved, but actually not really solved. I definitely have a hardware problem somewhere so not a Proxmox issue. All the hardware is from another computer that was working with Windows 10. I moved the hardware to a new case and at that point tried to install Proxmox with no luck. Now I can't get any OS to install, including Windows.

Hi,

I tried booting with Terminal and Debug and inserted "nomodeset" in the kernel parameters and I'm still hanging up just after loading drivers.
when booting with nomodeset in debug mode, did the installer really hang or just drop you into a shell? Have you tried pressing any keys at that point?

Debug mode not start the installer itself, but rather gives you a shell (actually; two, one before loading the full installation environment and one after).
You can also use nomodeset on the normal, non-debug TUI entry.

Otherwise, the loaded driverlist does look fine. Can you try booting a standard Debian ISO and see if that boots and/or installs? If yes, you can always Install Proxmox VE on top of Debian.
