Proxmox VE 5.3-2 Error 1962 Post Install

Hi Folks,
I have installed the latest version of proxmox ve on to lenovo thinkcentre e72m.
Install went smooth however, post install proxmox won't boot and complain on error 1962 no os found.

I have tried boot mode uefi & legacy but that didn't help.

Proxmox will boot up just fine if i use the resuce mode via usb.

Any ideas how can I resolve this issue. I am very new to linux.

Hello there,

That error appears to be coming from the BIOS? Have you determined what 1962 means? Do you have another machine you boot with HDD? Baring I know nothing about the machine, does it it support UEFI? Is secure boot enabled? Etc.

I don't another machine to try with. I have tried both legacy & uefi with secure boot enabled but none of the options works. I have tried re-installing few times with default options and i run into same issue.

IIRC, Proxmox bootloader is not signed, secure boot enabled won't likely work. When you were using Legacy booting, what partitioning table were you using, MBR or GPT? Have you determined what 1962 means? You could chroot and re-install the bootloader in case it failed to install properly during installation.

I have reinstalled the proxmox with following options
CSM enabled [compatibility support mode], boot priority: legacy first, secure boot: disabled.
Still getting the same error, if i reboot in rescue mode. It boots up fine.
there are 3 partitions dev/sda1 grub 2 core.img, dev/sda2, and dev/sda3

i manage to get the prox mox working, by adjusting the bios settings to UEFI only and secure boot disabled. With secure boot enabled, i always get invalid signature detected.
Now, how do i autoboot this pv. When, i reboot, i see grub menu. I press alt + ctrl + t to get to the terminal. How can I make time out to lets say 5 seconds.
