Hi,

I need some help. I'm new to building pc and homelab. I want to build a home server/home lab.
Im planning to use proxmox to run linux servers, NAS, pihole, kubernetes, plex, try to run games, etc.
Now, I have some new pc parts(because I've mistakenly bought it). Here are those:
- MSI B450 gaming plus
- samsung evo 980,
- Seasonic core gc550 gold 550watts PSU

What pc parts will you suggest so that I can fully build this thing.
I also want it be not power hungry because you know, electric bills haha

Thank you in advance for your help!

CPU depends on your budget. I would either get 5600G (6 core), 5700G (8 core) or 5900X (12 core). 5900X got no iGPU so you might need to buy a GPU (or even two GPUs if you want the plex VM be be able to use hardware acclerated encoding, but the B450 isn't great for PCI passhrough).
I would recommend ECC RAM, as the Ryzen 5000 support it, but looks like your mainboards UEFI won't support ECC RAM. In general you want as much RAM as possible...I already got 112GB for my homelab and still would need atleast 64GB more. So I would atleast buy 2 DIMMs of the biggest size possible so that you could add 2 more DIMMs later if needed.
And for NAS you possibly want some HDDs. Make sure not to buy SMR HDDs.
