Proxmox Timing Out Over Network Connection

When trying to connect to the Proxmox server through Firefox, it results in a 'connection timed out' error. We can ping the server and get a response, but when we try to use the web interface, we are met with the above error. There are instances when we can log on, but for only 15-30 seconds, before navigating to a new page results in the time out error.
