Proxmox Shell via WebUI

Is there a way to disable the option to open the Shell via the WebUI ?

no. Non-root users will have to login in the shell though.

Thanks for the quick reply ... do you know if it is something that will happen in the future ?
It's a little scary that the Shell is open automatically out of the box even for a root user.

That is only the case if you login as the root user. But no, something like that is not on our roadmap, if you think you have a use-case for it, feel free to open feature request at [1], since that's where we track those things.
