Hi folks,
I've just purchased an Dell Optiplex 3060 SFF with the intention of running Proxmox on it and pfSense to ultimately replace my home modem / router. It has a 256gb m2 (O/S) and a 128gb SSD (VM's / containers) and an Intel 4 port NIC, it isn't massive storage to say the least.
My main server is a Dell that runs my current Proxmox environment with TrueNAS for storage amongst other VM's. This server contains my two storage pools, first is for media / personal files (NAS) 6 TB total, second is my NVR pool 3.6 TB total and then I have one last disk for VM's and that is 600gb.
With the two devices in mind, I know I can't run HA without a 3rd node, can I do ceph or would that not be viable as well.
Ultimately, I would like to be able to manage both nodes from the one instance (if possible) and also be able to migrate a VM from the Optiplex when needed (aka upgrading storage etc) and vice versa.
I'm open to all suggestions about the Dell Optiplex as I haven't started installing Proxmox on it yet.
