Proxmox Server Not pinging Switch

Hi Folks,
I am badly stuck. My second subnet is not pinging the Switch

PING 172.20.124.1 (172.20.124.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
--- 172.20.124.1 ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 2025ms.
I shall appreciate a pointer to debug and move forward.
Direct P-2-P using an IP configured on a NIC port is also not connecting.
I must be missing something that I am unable to catch.

Look for guidance and direction.
