Proxmox repository Packages file

Greetings!

I'm working on coming up with a workflow that we will be able to use to keep local, off-line copies of the Debian and Proxmox PVE repositories up to date. The Proxmox Offline Mirror tool may play a part in this, but we may need other tools involved for other off-topic reasons.

I notice on http://download.proxmox.com/debian/dists/bookworm/pve-no-subscription/binary-amd64/ that the "Packages" file is present either uncompressed as "Packages" or gzipped as "Packages.gz".

According to the Debian Wiki (if I'm reading it correctly), it would be preferrable (required?) for the "Packages" file to be offered by the server offered with xz compression as Packages.xz over Packages.gz. It states: "Servers should offer only xz compressed files [...] gzip-compressed files may be offered as well."

I'll deal with it either way; just throwing it out as something I've observed which might be a nice thing to provide.
