proxmox + packer issues

Where are the log files that show api requests? I'm having trouble debugging a error with packer timing out on vm creation. I was hoping I mind find something useful in the log files, but don't know where to look. Thanks.

The log files are in /var/log/pveproxy/access.log and the log-rotates of that.
