Proxmox ovh networking help

Hey guys i hope someone can help me.
I am in big trouble.

i ve a dedicated server with proxmox 6 on ovh.

the proxmox server got one ip and one gateway in the same subnet and this works fine on the proxmox host.

now i want to build one vm therefore i bought one failover ip for the vm.

this ip dont have a own gateway but i assigned the mac address of vm to the ip.

for some reason the vm dont have connection to the gateway neither to any host?

can someone show me the right setup for this type of task ?

without a solution.

can someone share the right network interfaces file ? Or what i need to do

Step 1 configure mac for the Failover IP (set it to VMware)
Step 2 set the MAC address you created above to the VM inside of Promox (inside the nic settings)
Step 3 configure that VM's network correctly.

Also, show me your network file within the VM if you're still having an issue.
