Newbie here.

I have an R720 on which I have connected an SSD to the internal SATA port. I have installed proxmox on this SSD and its using EXT4.

Can I still use ZFS on my raid disks connected to a h710?

Sure. Why not?

Just make sure to toggle IT-Mode (probably named differently, perhaps "Non-Raid" or "JBOD") in the PERC Bios. If that is not possible look at https://fohdeesha.com/docs/perc.html and check if it is possible to flash it into a usable state.

Do not mix "raid mode" and ZFS - except for testing purposes. This includes a single "Raid0" per single physical drive.
