Hi everyone,
I’m currently using ZFS on my Proxmox server, and I regularly receive email alerts (e.g. scrub reports, disk issues, etc.) via the built-in notification system.
On my new server, I’m switching to a setup based on LVM with DM Cache, without using mdadm — I create RAID-like configurations (e.g. mirrored volumes) directly using LVM commands.
So my question is:
Does Proxmox natively send alerts for issues with LVM volumes and/or the DM Cache layer, or do I need to configure a separate monitoring solution (like smartd, monit, or something similar) to keep receiving alerts?
Thanks in advance for your help and advice!
