Proxmox not seeing/using all host memory

I've installed Proxmox on an old X3850 X5 with 1 Tb of physical memory.
But through the Web UI the hypervisor is only seeing 503 Gb.
Is this a limitation in Proxmox or is something else going on here?

no, probably it's having problem detecting the RAM or something similar.

are all your RAM sticks the same brand/model?

what do you see when you run: dmidecode --type memory? can you post the output here?

I'm an idiot! It's my other server that has 1 Tb RAM in it. This one 'only' has 512 Gb.
