Proxmox node immediately shuts down after boot

Proxmox VE 5.2-1 node shut down sometime last night. Upon restarting this morning, the system boots to a login prompt, allows me to login, but within seconds acts as though the shutdown command was issued. If I change the linux boot parameters, I can get it to boot into single user mode and it runs stably.

Has anyone experienced behavior like this before or have any ideas how to troubleshoot?

Without further information this would be a shot in the dark...
...maybe a node as a part of a cluster which lost communication with the other nodes. If so, this would be expected behavior. Check your network, logs etc.
