Hi all,
I'm quite new to Proxmox, and currently struggling with installing the VE onto a NVME drive.
The NVME drive appears both in the bios and with lsblk command, however when launching the installer (from another sata drive) I'm getting a "no harddisks found" message.
I don't think it is a bios issue, as (just for testing) I loaded the Proxmox installer iso file onto the NVME drive and could launch the installer from there.
I tried both connecting the NVME to the on board port, and via a PCIE adapter.
Thanks in advance.

I solved it. Being plain stupid...

Hi,

Just to clarify: you got a SATA and a NVMe attached drive, and you do not use an extra medium like an USB pen drive but the SATA one with the 7.1 (?) ISO installer dd'd onto it?

Where did you check the lsblk output - in the installer environment? If not, can you please use the ISO installer's debug mode, go to the second shell check lsblk -o +MODEL and post the output (e.g., a screen grab) here?

Thanks for your reply Thomas.
Sorry to waste your time - it was me being stupid. After I posted the thread I formatted the NVME drive in the linux shell and after that it was available for installation.
Thanks for your help
