proxmox installation /boot partition

Hello together,

is there, in the setup process of Proxmox VE, any possibility to separate the /boot partiton?
I like to put the /boot partition to USB, because it is the only way to boot a old ibm system x maschine.

Or install and rescue boot (somehow boot the installed Proxmox or boot a Linux live USB and chroot into Proxmox) and then add the USB via proxmox-boot-tool: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#sysboot
