I am trying to install Proxmox, but the boot process freezes at "Welcome to GRUB" and will not go any further. I have the following setup:
Mobo: ASRock Z690 Steel Legend/D5
CPU: Intel Core i5-14500
RAM: 64GB DDR5-5200
HBA: Lenovo 430-16i
HDD: several Dell Exos X18 18TB drives
one Seagate Exos X22 18TB drives
one Toshiba 3TB drive. unsure of the model #
Graphics card: Radeon HD5570
M.2: Team Group MP33 M.2 2280 1TB
If all of this is connected and iGPU enabled, it freezes at "Welcome to GRUB"
If I disconnect all drives from the HBA, it boots into Proxmox.
If I disable the iGPU, it boots into Proxmox.
I have the most recent BIOS for the motherboard and AFAIK the HBA.
I can boot into other live Linux environments just fine. I've tried both Debian-12.7.0 and Ubuntu 24.04.1. Either one boots, installs, and runs with everything enabled, just can't install or run proxmox.
Any thoughts/advice?
