Proxmox hitting my smarthost with root@localhost.localhost

Folks - my new proxmox installation is hammering my smarthost with root@localhost.localhost message to the point that I'm getting connection rejections from my smarthost.

This is probably something really silly but I can't seem to find where the problem is!
