Hello everyone
I've got a problem with my server. It doesn't connect to my router and i cant ping from other pc's. If i enter ifconfig it doesnt show an adapter called vmbr0. Only one called venet0. I changed the ip from the server in the /etc/network/interfaces folder but at the start it still shows the old ip. And if i ping to the server it hasnt an connection .if i use the old or the new doesn't matter. Do you know how to fix this?
I'm sorry for my horrible english, but i normaly talk in german.
Here's my build:
Asrock b85mitx
i5 4690

Hello,

I have seen this before.

I suggest you temporary install a second network card into your server that is known to work, then once proxmox is installed apply all the latest updates.

After restarting - you will probably find that the built-in adapter shows up and starts working.

Thanks,
