Proxmox CPU Assign Problem

Dear All,

I am a new user to use proxmox for virtual machine.
I have a one question about the cpu Assign.
If we use C6220 Dell Server (Intel® Xeon™ E5-2650 v2 x2),(Cores 8x2)
After hyper threading, I can see that proxmox show 32 core is available.
For the best practices, can I assign more than 32 core for all vm?(For example, I have three vm in proxmox, can i assign 12 core per VM?)

Technically you can, depending on the VIRT used there is suggested "over committing" limits before you start to see performance dropping.
