I am configuring Proxmox on M600 blades in a Dell M1000E blade chassis. All of the blades pass through an "IO Aggregator" switch which I cannot get to pass multicast traffic.

For now I have followed your guide to enable the cluster to operate over unicast: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Multicast_notes This has enabled me to get quorum on the cluster. My question is in regards to the statement "Due to increased network traffic (compared to multicast) the number of supported nodes is limited, do not use it with more that 4 cluster nodes."

Are there any better solutions to this problem aside from replacing the "IO Aggregator" switch with one that supports multicast?

This is a 10 gigabit network and not 1 gigabit, is it possible that I could safely support a higher number of nodes (Maximum of 16) because of this?
