Hi

I would like to have the communication of the Proxmox on different nic
than vmbr0.

vmbr0 is the provider interface to the internet which is nailed to 100MBs.
vmbr1 is an private nic with an cross-cable with speed of 1000MBs

This one I would like to have for Cluster-Communication and moving of VMs.

As I had a short look into the sources Proxmox is only able to use vmbr0.

Right now .... with a running cluster..... the only chance would be to
swap the configuration of the real interfaces in /etc/network/interfaces
and swap the networks on vmbr0/1.

Is this right ??

Are there any other future-plans ??

Hi

Are there are any more flexible plans in future releases ??

Now I have vmbr0 with eth1 and vmbr1 with eth0.

Not a real problem but a lot of work.

I started with one machine going productiv.

A second machine came some time later......building the cluster.

In this situation vmbr0 was on eth0 which is a speed-down-interface.

Therefor eth1 was crosscabled to use full speed when migrating.

To get this working every networkdefinition within the VMs had to be swapped.

pveca -c -i <interface> would have been a lot easiert.
