Hello! I'm hoping to get some recommendations. We're seeing a strange cap on backup speeds, around 125 MB/s regardless of source, Ceph, ZFS, local drives and destination with various protocols and destinations, NFS, Samba, Proxmox Backup Server, flash backed storage, spinning drives, SSD write cache, meta (special) devices. We have 10 GbE links (6 redundant links with dedicated 10GbE links for Ceph, Proxmox cluster and data), iperf3 shows the bandwidth between sources and destinations are are 10 GbE, jumbo frames are enabled and tested.

What we're seeing besides the slow backup speeds is that some VMs become unresponsive, even using Proxmox Backup Server, during backups. We're running Proxmox 6.4 with plans to upgrade to the latest general release next month. I can elaborate on our configuration. Fortunately we're extremely happy even with this given the benefits of Proxmox Virtual Environment and Proxmox Backup Server, we just want to irk out more performance and stability from the system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
