Hello,

I currently have the client on a physical computer trying to backup the home directory of a user, however is seems to be getting stuck uploading new chuck. Are there any logs that I can look though?

Example Output on Client:

It is then stuck (for 40 minutes now; it stays there until I stop the task).

proxmox-backup-client ist then using 100% CPU (i. e. one core).

Don't know if it's of any help, but I tried gdb (I'm by no means an expert in debugging):

The output is in the attached file (due to max. characters)

Is there any idea how to solve this?

Thanks

hi, thanks for the gdb output, it helped nailing down the issue
when files were shrinking during the backup, we run into an endless loop
i sent a patch for this: https://lists.proxmox.com/pipermail/pbs-devel/2020-November/001313.html

btw this only affects manual directory backups, and should not happen for ct backups, since there we make either a snapshot or copy the contents in a tmpdir so the files should not change size

Looks like the issue is still reproducible - backup is stuck for ~10 mins now :-(

Do I misinterpret https://git.proxmox.com/?p=proxmox-backup.git;a=shortlog and the fix is in 0.9.7?
