Proxmox Backup and Veeam, from the same PVE host.

Hi

I have a question, has anyone wondered whether making copies using PBS and Veeam, from the same Proxmox VE(not in the same time) is safe? Veeam is locking qemu process and do something on it. I am wondering if this can have negative impact on QEMU dirty bitmaps.

First question is why use two completely different backup systems?

Second thought, is if both (PBS & Veeam) lock the VM being backup (and occur at different times), then it should be fine.

Veeam, is used for VMWare part(we plan to shutdown it next year) and is used for backup on tapes.
