Hello,
We are experiencing an issue with osd placement in proxmox 4.4.
Specifically, it seems that if a hypervisor reboots, upon reboot, the osds on that host have their root moved to the default root for that host. This is causing is many problems as we created our own roots, so we have needless recovery happening any time a hypervisor reboots.
Upon further inspection, I believe this to be behavior in ceph, not proxmox, and will investigate on my own.
