Hi friends,

last time i see more and more errors in my firewall which connects to proxmox...

When a client from external tries to connect proxmox gives really often the following message back: 220 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

When the Client then sends the HELO or EHELO Command
it get back a Command not recognized mesage...
The same for the quit command and so on...

The internal mailservers receivs sometimes the same message when it wants to send the mails to proxmox... I see in the log then a message like "Server not reachable."

Whats going on here?
Any idea?

Thanks.
Jimmy

Yes there is a firewall... And a Cisco too.

But i can't remember, that i have this problem before...
And in the firewall, the port 25 is already open.
Is there any issue known about Cisco firewalls and proxmox?

Well, if you get "220 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" you firwall is obviously doing something. Maybe you changed the firewall configuration (turned on SMTP traffic inspection).

The only what i changed last time is an User ACL... But nothing in access-lists or so for any traffic...
The smtp traffic inspretion is included in the default insprection class... But could this be the problem?

What is the problem? Those "220 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" messages are definatly from your firewall.
