Hello Proxmox community,
today i have build a home server with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700x and a Gigabyte x570 UD.
The x570 chipset should support Raid1.
I configured Raid1 in the BIOS and installed Proxmox 6.2.
After installation on a 230GB SSD the 2x4TB in Raid1I wanted to add Proxmox.
Now unfortunately I see both 4TB HDDs separately and not only one, as it should be the case with Raid1 or??

I hope that one of you can help me.
Best regards
Nils

Hi,

these Raids are known as fake Raid and use at Linux MDRaid as softraid implementation.
Proxmox VE does no support MDRaid because of data lost in some edge cases.
You must install the package "mdadm" then it should work as expected.
But with such setup you are alone and Proxmox VE will not test or support this setup.
If you like to have a softraid use ZFS instead, this is fully supported.
