Proxmox and CEPH on same system

Hello everyone

So I have been testing HA with proxmox 3.3 and free nas and I am very happy with it. I have 3 nodes and 1 freenas. Because I always want to test more and find even better solutions (which sometimes isn't the best :p ) I thought about doing the following. Have 4 nodes and on each node also install ceph storage. I'd also want HA with IPMI fencing (does this cause problems with ceph on the same node?) The Hardware specs are as follows:

3 nodes:
1*i3 dual core
16GB RAM
2*NIC
1*IPMI

1node:
1*xeon quad core
16GB RAM
2*NIC
1*IPMI

Would this make sense and would the nodes still be able to have VMs without using all the hardware power for ceph? I have 4 SSDs for journaling and 8*2TB harddrives and 4*1TB for data. I could split the networks, 1 for ceph and the other for the VMs.

My question basically is, does this make sense or would you just stick to the freenas solution as it is? (I don't mind about the work, cause I actually am interested in these kinds of things ;) I just wouldn't do it if there is absolutely no profit from it)

Thanks for your opinion on this!

sincerely
