for the past 4 to 6 weeks , I have been having the issues with my proxmox, at first I through it was the SATA expansion card I was using, but I have replace this with a LSI card, but I am still getting the same issues.

I have done some testing and it is pointing towards my proxmox environment, but I am not able to get back in to check this every time I try to putty in or via a URL I get a blank screen or a message that says no connection.

I have 4 VM's running - Unraid with the LSI card, a torrent server with a external spinning drive , Plex server and Home Assistant.

for each VM, my testing was to start the VM and allow it to run for 2 hours, and then power down and move onto the next one.

but during my testing ( with different VM's running at different times ) I get the following error on my screen ( connect to Proxmox )

[2298.666292] xfs (dm01): log I/O error -t
[2298.666317] XFS (dm-1): filesystem has been shut down due to log error (0x2).
[2298.666337] XFS (dm-1): please unmount the filesystem and rectify the problem(s).
[2298.666661] XFS (dm-1): log I/O error -5
[2298.666677] XFS (dm-1): log I/O error -5

can someone please tell me how to get back into the system so that I can read the logs, so that I can then resolve the issue.

yes - Proxmox is running, but I am not able to putty or URL onto it, I have a Unraid VM running which I was still able to connect to via URL.

my setup is as follows

B450 mother with 32Gib RAM
Proxmox is on a Enterprise 1TB SSD plug straght into a motherboard SATA
I then have a LSI SATA card with the following HD's plug into it.

for my VM's I have
Unraid
RAM 8GB
BIOS SeaBios
Machine Q35
Passthrough USB Pen Drive
the LSI SATA card passthrough

Plex VM
Mount point to unraid Share

Torrent VM
SCSI Mounted External Hard Drive.

I just can the following

ok I just ran this command smartctl -a /dev/sda and after a few mins I loss connection to my Proxmox
and on my monitor I saw this

[1729.425242] XPS (dm-1): Log I/O Error -05
[1729.425267] XFS (dm-1): Filesystem has been shut down dur to log error (0x2)
[1729.425297] XFS (dm-1): Please unmount the filesystem and rectify the problem(s)
[1729.425707] XFS (dm-1): Log I/O error -5
[1729.424741] XFS (dm-1): Log I/O error -5
[1729.425744] XFS (dm-1): Log I/O error -5
[1729.425781] XFS (dm-1): Log I/O error -5
[1729.425798] XFS (dm-1): Log I/O error -5
[1729.425816] XFS (dm-1): Log I/O error -5
