Proxmox 8.4.0 goes offline due to Hardware unit hang (Network adapter) e1000e

Can someone help me. My node goes randomly offline due to a hardware unit hang. Searching for this problem learns me that this driver issue with e1000e was resolved with update in the past but I keep having this problem.. How can I fix this problem?

The work-around appears to be to use an older kernel version (since Linux drivers come with the kernel).
