I have a basic question... my server mainboard has basic video functionality but, when setting up the server, I installed a low end NVIDIA GPU. The system is setup to default the the NVIDIA card and everything is working just fine. The node is setup to do PCI passthrough and this is working with a disk HBA and ethernet cards.
Is the NVIDIA adaptor offering any advantage to the VMs and Containers running on the server?
If not, i want try having the node initialize the video on the Supermicro mainboard, leaving the NVIDA card as a "spare" resource that can be passed through to a VM. Specifically, a VM running a Plex server.
I'm looking for input from anybody that might have personal experience here. This server was my first experience with Proxmox so I got it working but now I'm looking to optimize.
