Proxmox 8.2 on Dell R720 with h310 mini installation failure on raid5

Hello,
i face an issue with installation on DellR720 with mini h310 controller and hardware Raid5. Whenever i install proxmox in Raid1 i can do it successfully but when i am trying to add the raid5 as additional disk or install proxmox on raid5 i receive an error
Warning ! MBR not overwritten! Error is 6!
Problem opening /dev/sda for reading for reading! Error is 6
Unable to partition harddisk /dev/sda

Any proposals?

I don't have any proposals or solutions, but I appreciate that you posted your issue. I ran into the exact same issue today with that same PERC min H310 on a Dell R620 (so basically the same setup, just a 1U server). And yes, with a 3 drive RAID 5 array. I wasn't sure if I had some weird hardware incompatibility or if I was running into some early indication of a hardware failure, but I guess it's the former. How bizarre! Switched to RAID 1 like you described and it worked fine. Maybe it's a cheap PERC controller? Now I wonder if I'd get the same results with the H710s in the other R720s I've got.
