Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with installing Proxmox 8.1 VE on a Cisco UCS C220 M3 server. Here is the sequence I am seeing.

After a successful install it reboots
The built in nic lights on both cards light up orange showing connectivity to the switch
It shows booting to proxmox than two messages pop up. fnic: DEVCMD2 not found, fall back to Devcmd (twice) I attached a picture.
When this happens both nic lights turn off immediately.

Any thoughts or help? Google wasn't much help.
I made sure I am on the newest firmware 3.0(4s) for the server

Funny you should post this just today. I also had this problem last night. Mine started with "invalid video mode" errors, so I used IPMI and installed it that way but then on reboot got no network lights.

Followup with my fix. I ended up buying another 10GBE card for the Cisco server. Same make and model. Here is the weird part on the old card. The old card reported no errors in CIMC or Windows Server when I installed it. I.E. The old card sounds like it is a bad card but it only would not work with Proxmox. I did check from the stickers on both cards firmware and versions and everything lined up. The only thing I could possibly think of is one maybe had some newer chip but I had no way to determine that from all the information I had at the time.
